YUCATAN

What do you feel about the prophesy of 2012?

What I think is that it is something that is already happening. We do not have to wait until 2012, it is like a notice of a change of consciousness. With respect to the philosophy Maya, the prophecy is very clear. If we do not learn as humans how to respect each other, to tolerate different points of view, in one way or another as humanity we are walking to a precipice without end. And it is something that is happening and we are seeing this through physical events like more hurricanes, global warming, all these events that are happening are part of the prophecy. The main message is that we either change consciousness and learn to respect each other, and I'm not just talking about humans but also all living life forms on the planet.

How did you learn about 2012 and what does it mean in your life to you?

I learned about it first of all through contact with the Mayan ceremonial centers and through contact with Mayan priests, and then I learned about it through reading. My life is a process of internal transformation. In order to change humanity, we have to start with ourselves first.

What do the ceremonial sites mean to you?

The ceremonial center, each one, has a special vibration. For example, Chichen Itza's main message is equilibrium, or balance. Balance of light and darkness (shadow). Not a separation but an integration. If we do not recognize our own light, which is spirituality, and our own shadow, which can be our ego and personality, then we will not arrive at our center. All Mayan philosophy is about so each of us looks for and finds our own center, and from there we radiate our own light.

How do you do this light work in your daily life?

In daily life, the Mayan key word is "Alia Kecj", "You are my other I". So how I treat and judge other people is how they will treat me. In other words, do unto others, as you would like to be done unto.

What message or wish do you have for people outside of Mexico; especially those who might want to visit these sites?

The function is to give a message from Mayan philosophy, which for me has the most perfect concept of god and the four directions. The idea of bringing people to the ceremonial centers if for them to experiment what they feel. What change will they produce? We all have some kind of problem, generally related to our past, and there is a process of change, of transformation that the ceremonial centers can help to facilitate. Those who haven't been able to pardon learn to forgive, learn to find their own peace, and finally you learn to find your own center, to find your own light.

What is the connection or comparison between the present day Maya and the ancient Maya who built these sites?

Basically, it is the same race. What I most like about the modern day Maya is their humility, simplicity and simple way to view life.
The ancient Mayans who build these ceremonial centers, we really don't know exactly how they accomplished this. Truthfully, there is no theory that is totally satisfactory as an explanation. But undoubtedly they had knowledge (perhaps much better than we have today) because they could integrate their cities with the environment. Perfect harmony, an ecological system, very balanced and sustainable. For instance, they could adapt their cities to the jungle, which is an environment that for us can be aggressive and fierce. Also, the equilibrium that they achieved in their temples have left us a message that is perfectly stored. For example, in the times of equinoxes and solstices they show their astronomical knowledge. With the knowledge of zero, of the great cycles they worked with, the cosmic cycles, their knowledge was, or better put is, enormous. It is so large. When the conquest came, they obliterated this knowledge. The first thing that the conquistadores did was to kill the Mayan priests and burn their sacred books.

So do you think that this information is still stored in the sites and stones?

Of course, their information is stored in the sites. Everything that was vibrated here is still here, and if you are able to put yourself into their vibratory frequency you can access this information, what the site can teach you. First at the individual level, but also at the collective level. And when they do meditations or ceremonies in the ceremonial centers, you are immediately creating a focus of light - to put it this way - that includes not only this particular point, but all of humanity.
