We'd like to
share some memories of our Obsidian Route journey that ran from February 2-9,
2008. Thirteen people joined this inaugural trip, hailing from the United
Kingdom, Chile, Australia as well as the United States.

This trip took us from
the lakes and mountains near Guadalajara, Mexico to Puerto Vallarta, on the
Pacific coast. Along the route, renowned crystal healer and author Naisha
Ahsian gave us daily lessons in her Crystal Earth Shamanism, and Dr. Elizabeth
Patricia Torres taught us sacred Mexhica dancing.
The site visits and
activities gave us the chance to put our workshop leaning into real life
practice. We did sacred dancing at the Guachimontones and Ixtlan del Rio
pyramids, conducted an earth healing ceremony in a former opal mine and shared a
cleansing temezcal ceremony (Mexican sweat lodge).
